Wouldn't it be nice if we lived in a world where most surprises were good? That is how I felt today after experiencing a pleasant surprise. I know that positive surprises being infrequent can make them even more special when they occur, but the reality is that we live in a world where we are inundated with negative ones. I always try to find a silver lining everyday. I believe when I take a positive outlook on each day, that my life is surrounded by a lot more pleasant surprises than I ever realized. It is very easy to be negative with all the frustrations that seem to be lurking in every corner, but like anything in life "positive training" as I like to call it, is a habit that can do wonders. Simply stop and smile, say hi to a stranger, or even be that person at work that holds open the elevator door a second longer for someone. Almost every time I hold an elevator door for a person I am greeted with many thanks. It simply makes you feel good, and these positive experiences throughout the day can really add up. So get out there and start changing your life for the better.
