Philosophical Thought of the Day

Making the decision to have a child is momentous. It is to decide forever to have your heart go walking around outside your body.

- Elizabeth Stone

I was asked the other day what it was like to become father? I have to admit that I am not sure if words can truly capture the experience. It is one of those moments that are so raw and real that you really have to experience it yourself. I do know that it was the most unifying moment of my marriage to date. It cannot be topped in its pure magnitude, power, and emotion. If you didn’t know what it meant to love before you cannot help yourself after it’s done. You will be in awe at the power of a single woman, the resilience of an infant, and be swept off your feet at the power of God and nature.

Philosophical Thought of the Day

Making the decision to have a child is momentous. It is to decide forever to have your heart go walking around outside your body.

Becoming a father is an almost indescribable feeling. It is one of the most raw and surreal feelings that can ever be experienced. There are a few key milestones in life that determine your level of maturity. For me that first moment came when I knew I was ready to be married. I woke up one day realizing that I was no longer the most important person in my life. The second time is now, as I prepare to be a father. Becoming a father will be the most inspiration moment in my life. Everything else that I have and will accomplish in life will pale in comparison to the moment of becoming a father.
