Politics and such...

...Therefore I think that we would understand each other quite well if we talked about concrete things.

I will admit that I am not the most political connoisseur. On any given day there are far more issues that I am not familiar with versus ones that I am. I don't say this with a gratifyingly rebellious nature, in fact I say it in quite the opposite tone. To me politics are quite convoluted and trite. The endless rabble of people to proud or agenda driven to bend on any topic. To me that is what I see and hear in 21st century politics. To be quite frank it is boring and frustrating to listen to. Political boundaries have been haphazardly strewn across this country with such reckless abandon that we the people are now trapped within these borders.

The idea of swing states or safe states is foreign to me. Shouldn't the mature voting citizens of this country rationally, and fairly evaluate each candidate based on their principles and political ideas? The answer is we should, but the majority of the population doesn't. But who is to blame for this? Us the people, the media, the political parties, the candidates? Maybe a little of us all is to blame, but the issues that perverse today are a direct result of the indecision and greed that pervades at the top. One of our greatest founding fathers Thomas Jefferson summed it up perfectly.

Public servants should not aggrandize themselves by service to the public. Experience hath shewn, that even under the best forms of government those entrusted with power have, in time, and by slow operations, perverted it into tyranny.

Are we living in a world ruled by tyranny? Is our country ruled by tyrannic individuals? Often times tough questions have undesirable answers. The main problem I foresee in this country is something far worse and manipulative than a pure evil, and that is the indifference of good people.  But I believe in the people of this country, I believe that our voice is the greatest strength and gift that we have at our disposal. The greatest illusion this country suffers from is the lie of division that has been setup for us. Republican, Democrat, Black, White, Religion, Atheism, the Poor, the Middle, the Rich, the good, the bad, and the ugly...  It seems that the greatest issue that the country is suffering from is amnesia, and the reality that we are all one; we are all citizens of one country for the people of the people. Throw out the agendas, the corrupt, the greedy, and replace it with concrete ideas, the good, the honorable. Then maybe, just maybe, we might have chance.
