Poems

Summer Rain

These days of joy and un-foretold pleasures,

Fall on me like sweet summer rain.

Guided by light and hidden by night; I search for hidden treasures.

This love I find and the bliss I see removes all pain.

Emerald eyes and gleaming hair as fair as gold,

Her glowing skin shines soft as silver.

No truer love has ever been told,

Hand in hand we hold, and this is what I said when I whispered to her.

I’ve walked through the mist and into the light,

Hand in hand and fingers intertwined; our own romantic gain.

This moment of destiny reminds me of a dream I had one night,

When you took my hand and we walked in the summer rain.
