This passage is taken from the journal of Hermann Hesse a German writer who is the author of the classic 20th Century novel Siddhartha.

To me this principle simply reinforces that in all things the best lessons and principles never become out dated. Love, Peace, and Happiness; as long as humans exists these three ideals will never leave the core of who we are.
