Philosophical Thought of the Day

Memory... is the diary that we all carry about with us.

- Oscar Wilde

What I am going to miss most about you is the way you made me feel every day whether it was for the better or worse. Fortunately for me it was mostly for the better than the worse...

The hardest part about moving on is not the fear of friendships or memories fading, but rather its the ending of a chapter in our lives that is truly sad. I hate when a chapter in my life ends, but I also love the beginning of new ones as well. They seem unfair and unapologetic at times. Sometimes they are already predetermined for us like when high school ends, and other times they are completely out of our hands like the loss of a loved one. My memories age much like a bottle of wine; they always tasted sweet, but the longer they exists the sweeter they taste. I long to take a taste again, but memories are what they are. And though I can longer live them again in the present, their presence in my mind makes me all the better of a person today. So for now I'll make a toast to each chapter in my life, and enjoy both the bitterness of today and the sweetness of tomorrow.
